Which Reyic Balm Is Right for You?

Most Reyic balms start with the same base: grass-fed tallow and olive oil, handmade in the USA. The difference is what goes in next. Au Naturel stays unscented, and the others add a named essential oil blend. This page helps you pick a jar.

    The jars at a glance

    • Au Naturel: unscented, just tallow and olive oil. Our first pick for fragrance-averse or easily upset skin.
    • Vitalize: an energizing blend of ylang ylang, lemongrass, eucalyptus, patchouli and peppermint. Made for mornings and everyday dry skin.
    • Calm Your Nerves: lavender, bergamot, cedarwood, frankincense, vetiver, peppermint and black pepper. A wind-down jar for evenings.
    • Sun’s Out: German chamomile, frankincense, lavender, eucalyptus, bergamot, ylang ylang and cedarwood, for skin after sun, wind or long days outside. It is not a sunscreen, and it is not meant for sunburn.
    • Harvest Spice (seasonal): warm citrus, vanilla and spice notes, including cinnamon bark, clove bud and nutmeg. A limited fall and winter batch; when it’s gone, it’s gone until next year.

    Unscented or scented?

If you’re not sure, start unscented. We explain the reasoning in unscented vs essential oil balms, and why we use named oils instead of a vague “fragrance” line in purpose-driven essential oils vs fragrance.

Who should skip a scented jar

    • Anyone who reacts to essential oils, or to spice oils in Harvest Spice
    • Skin around a new tattoo; use Au Naturel only
    • Anyone trying tallow for the first time on easily upset skin

Whichever jar you choose, patch test it first on a small area. If your skin is very dry or sensitive, our guide for sensitive, dry skin covers a careful start.

    FAQ

Do all Reyic balms have the same base?

Most do. The jars on this page are grass-fed tallow and olive oil, and the scented ones add a named essential oil blend on top. Each product page lists its full ingredients.

Which jar is best for sensitive skin?

Start with Au Naturel. It has no essential oils, so there’s less to guess about.

    Is Sun’s Out a sunscreen?

No. Sun’s Out is not a sunscreen, and it is not meant for sunburn. Use your usual sun protection outdoors.
