Products & ingredients
What ingredients are in your balms?
Reyic balms start with 100% grass-fed / finished beef tallow and organic extra virgin olive oil. Scented jars add purpose-driven essential oil blends. Au Naturel is tallow and olive oil only — no essential oils. Full lists are on each product page.
Why do you use tallow and olive oil?
Tallow and olive oil have a long history in traditional skincare. Tallow helps form a protective, moisturizing layer; olive oil softens the texture and adds lasting moisture. Together they make a simple, handmade balm without a long synthetic filler list.
How do the essential oils in your balms help?
Each blend is chosen for purpose, not just scent — for example, lavender and vetiver in Calm Your Nerves, or peppermint and lemongrass notes in Vitalize. If fragrance bothers you, choose Au Naturel instead.
What’s the difference between unscented and scented balms?
Au Naturel has no essential oils — best for hypersensitive or fragrance-averse skin. Other jars (Vitalize, Calm Your Nerves, Sun’s Out, and seasonal blends) include essential oils. Always patch-test a new scent.
Skin concerns & how to use
Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — start with Au Naturel. It has no essential oils and is our first recommendation for hypersensitive skin. Spot-check (patch-test) before wider use. For a deeper read, see tallow balm for eczema-prone skin.
Is tallow balm good for eczema-prone or very dry, irritated skin?
Many people with dry, irritated, or eczema-prone skin like a simple grass-fed tallow balm for moisturizing and comfort. It is skincare, not medicine — it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent eczema. Patch-test, go slowly, and follow your clinician’s plan. Guide: Tallow Balm for Eczema.
Can tallow balm help dry, cracked hands?
A richer balm can help dry, cracked winter hands feel more moisturized, especially overnight and after frequent washing. Start with Au Naturel (unscented) or Vitalize if you tolerate essential oils. Guide: Tallow Balm for Dry, Cracked Hands.
Can I use tallow balm for tattoo aftercare?
Only if your tattoo artist says moisturizing is okay — follow their sheet first. Use Au Naturel only (no essential oils) on healing tattoos. This is not medical advice. Guide: Tallow Balm for Tattoo Aftercare.
How do I patch-test Reyic balm?
Apply a pea-sized amount to a small area of intact skin (inner forearm works well). Wait 24 hours. If you see redness, itching, burning, or swelling, don’t continue. If it stays calm, try a slightly larger area next.
How do I use your balms?
Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin. Warm between fingers, then press and massage until it softens in. A little goes a long way. Once daily is enough for many people; reapply when skin feels tight.
Can I use your balms on my face?
Yes — many customers use Reyic on the face. Start with a small amount. For reactive skin, begin with Au Naturel. Avoid the eye area and stop if anything feels off.
What are the benefits of using your balms?
Reyic balms are made to moisturize and nourish dry skin with a short, recognizable ingredient list. Scented jars also offer aroma with purpose (calm, invigorate, and so on). Results vary. They are not a substitute for medical care.
